Poets & Painters 2016

The Sangamon Watercolor Society (SWS) and SPW have collaborated on a

Poets and Painters event. Here is the schedule:

September: SPW members* viewed and selected from SWS paintings – and let SPW know which artwork they’ve chosen to write about.

You can view the paintings at http://www.sangamonwatercolor.com/poets.html and in person at the Hoogland Center for the Arts, in the 3rd floor Board Room. The written works will be displayed with the paintings in the gallery through December 2016.

October 1-10: SPW members submitted each poem or prose piece to SPW, limiting their writings to one page.

October 15: The Poets & Painters event took place in the gallery from 5:30-7:30 PM.

7 writers read their 10 works and painters discussed their paintings. ___________________________________________________________________________
